Over the last 50 years, since its inception, the Dodge Challenger created the definitive standard for American muscle cars. Its design takes cues from some of the most powerful performance vehicles ever built, with a long hood and short tail, front split grille, and modern halo LED headlamp. The 2020 Dodge Challenger retains its powerful race-like performance while updating its technology to fit the modern era better. With several trim levels and engines to choose from, the Dodge Challenger delivers by combining its roots with a bright future. Come to Great West Chrysler to find out more about the 2020 Dodge Challenger, as well as how you can customize yours to your preferences.
The Dodge Challenger continues its legacy of power and design. There are still five engines available for 2020, ranging from the award-winning 3.6L Pentastar™ VVT V6, which delivers 305 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque, to the High Output 6.2L Supercharged HEMI® SRT® Hellcat Redeye V8, which provides blistering 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque. The TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission continues the refinement of the Challenger, delivering iconic power and control. Class-Exclusive AWD is offered on every V6 model in the lineup and makes this the perfect Alberta muscle car, set for anything the Edmonton area weather environments throw your way.
Inside the Challenger, the cabin can comfortably accommodate five adults, making the Challenger the only car in its class to offer this. A standard high-resolution 7-inch in-cluster display puts all your vehicle information in full-colour and customizable right in front of your eyes. The available 8.4-inch Uconnect 4 multimedia centre also features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Standard safety features include a ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera, Reactive front head restraints, Rain Brake Support and Ready-Alert Braking, plus more.
Dodge Challenger Model Changes for 2019
The Dodge Challenger was given a lot of praise and love in 2019. Given the overwhelming admiration for the 2019 Challenger models, you can expect more of the same for 2020 but with some added incentives, of course. In terms of style changes, nine new wheels and finishes are available. The SXT AWD and GT AWD models now feature 19-inch Satin Carbon wheels as standard with available Black Noise wheels. Other changes include the addition of new HEMI fender badges to the R/T models, a Scat Pack Bee spoiler badge on the R/T Scat Pack, three new exterior paint options, and optional carbon-fibre bezels coupled with Dynamica suede headliner on all V8 models. These changes are only the start of some of the improvements implemented to help continually deliver consumer needs, especially for us Alberta drivers who want fun and function all year round.
