Cold Air Intake
Your engine requires three main things to run; air, fuel, and spark. Air is an essential component of the combustion cycle, and if the engine is starved, it will not function at its best. Colder and denser is best for engine performance, and a great way to get it is from a cold air intake. A Wrangler that is equipped with a cold air intake will typically have acceleration that is more responsive, a decrease in fuel consumption, and a slight increase in horsepower, between 5-10.
Snorkel System
For those who enjoy the outdoors in their Wrangler and love to take their vehicle off-road, a snorkel system is an essential add-on. You may come across a deep creek or a shallow river; this is where a snorkel system will come in handy. It is a system that moves the air intake above the roof, so your engine does not suck in any water. If that were to happen, you would risk hydro locking your engine, which would result in expensive repairs.
Throttle Body Spacer
A throttle body spacer is a metal plate that is installed at the end of the throttle body; it helps to increase air velocity within turn affects fuel atomization. Fuel atomization is when fuel is broken up into smaller particles like a fine mist. When this mist enters the combustion chamber, it allows for better power and fuel economy because more fuel is ignited.
Fuel Injectors
Fuel injectors are an important component of any vehicle; however, for the Wrangler, this can be an interesting mod that can better regulate fuel delivery. Standard fuel injectors typically have a single hole that releases fuel. Aftermarket injectors can feature up to four holes that may improve fuel atomization.
